I’m just trying to make sense of this crazy world and sharing a few of things I love.
I’m Adam. I was raised as vegetarian and turned vegan nearly 10 years ago while living in Seattle. Originally from the North of England, I now live with my partner (soon to be husband!) on the outskirts of London. I love to travel, and have used my veganism to enrich these adventures. From eating a gourmet vegan dinner in the depths of the Arctic Circle to sampling the vegan fasting diet in Ethiopia, I love to explore both the world and our relationship to our world through food.
Why am I vegan?
Essentially, I’ve weighed up all the facts and I believe veganism is the diet and way of life that is both best for me and for the world in which I live.
A combination of 3 things have helped me come to this conclusion:
- I feel it’s ethically and morally sound
- I believe in the real health benefits it can deliver
- I see it as a valid way of living sustainably in an increasingly oversubscribed world
One thing I’ve come to believe over the years is that you get out what you put in. The slaughter and mistreatment of animals puts these creatures under incredible stress and fear. This negative energy builds up in these animals and permeates their aura and being. Then when consumed, it’s as if you’re consuming this fear and stress. This cannot be good for your energy and karmic journey- not to mention your digestion and other bodily functions!
Healing in life needs to come from the inside, consume foods that promote a positive energy and supportive outlook to ensure that you live a holistic and energetic life.
This is where raw, organic and even biolunar come into play. Raw food doesn’t burn off all of the nutrient value in your food, organic doesn’t fill it with poisons and toxins and biolunar ensures you’re staying in tune with the natural rhythms of the planet.
I’ve always envisaged life as a set of energy waves. Your existence being a slowly undulating wave of energy mixing with the energy of other things and creatures. If you try and match your wave oscillation to that of the environment in which supports you, you can ensure that it will support you back.
